The actors joined the awards show host for some Broadway karoake during a break.
James Corden has become well known for his popular “carpool karaoke” segments on his Late Late Show and on Sunday he decided to start up “commercial karaoke” while he hosted the Tony Awards.
Sean Hayes wrote on Facebook that Corden asked for volunteers to sing during commercial breaks, and he and Jake Gyllenhaal happily obliged. Hayes posted the video of the special moment on his account.
Gyllenhaal took the microphone and started singing “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, with Hayes jumping in after him. Corden joined in for the chorus, motioning for the audience to sing along as well. The result was delightful.
